Covering the art academy with advertisement. Selling the school. Commerciality turned into art, turning an institution into a billboard. In the attempt to ‘read’ this work, the most obvious associations are those concerning art and money, budget cuts, the art market, mass media, et al. Topics about which we have heard a lot of questions (and answers) already. Another question we might have, perhaps a more interesting one, is what it means to be for sale. Does the process of selling do something to the object for sale?
